On September 13, 2005, the Carlisle City Council voted to begin having meetings twice each month. The first Tuesday of each month, beginning at 6:00 PM, has been designated as the standing date for committee work sessions. The third Tuesday of each month, at 6:00 PM, will continue to be the regular meeting of the full Council, unless there is a conflict because of a holiday. Special meetings of the City Council and special committee meetings will continue to be called, as necessary, by the mayor. The next committee work session will be December 2, 2008. The next regular meeting of the City Council will be November 18, 2008. Persons wishing to address the City Council should contact the Mayor's Office, at least one week prior to a scheduled meeting, to be placed on the agenda. They should submit written notification of the topic they wish to address. In addition, no more than two individuals will be permitted to speak on the topic, and they will be limited to five minutes.
