Airport Commission

The Carlisle Municipal Airport is located within the city limits, approximately two miles northeast of downtown and just north of Interstate 40, at 2608 Airport Rd.  The airport is well-maintained and has two 4500 ft. paved runways, paved taxiways, a beacon, radio-controlled runway lights, and AWAS.  It has a 10,000 square ft. main building equipped with hangar space as well as T-hangars available for rent.  A pilot's lounge provides comfortable furnishings, restrooms, drinks and snacks, and wifi.   The airport also has aviation fuel and ramp or tie down parking available.

The airport is situated on approximately 600 acres.  384 acres of the property is in farmland, which the City leases to a local farmer.  The remaining unpaved portions of the property are mowed and the grass used to make hay.  Both the farming and hay operations are revenue sources, which the City uses to help fund airport projects and maintenance.
